Turning Japanese
posted on March 18th, 2008

Illustrator Matt Kay has teamed up with photographer Liz Dickinson to produce a set of mixed media images to support Sarah Lockes appearence at Japan Fashion Week. Part of the concept was to make the models appear shop-mankin-esque and although caucasian not to be to overtly european. We think they look quite cool, hopefully the Japanese will too!www.kdimension.co.ukwww.sarahlocke.comRelated articles:Lancashire Evening Post

Why ‘pant’?
posted on March 10th, 2008

‘Pant’ means trousers in American English, underpants in British English, to Pant is to breath quickly in little puffs like an old engine. Pant is an Asian surname, and and means a hollow in Welsh. Many furry animals use panting to adjust their body-temperature, and several places in England are called Pant.

Most importantly ‘pant’ means (in Norwegian) giving something and getting something else back, something with the same value, but a different form.

Dear All,I am currently looking for envelopes that I can use for patterning my illustrations. Hackney council-tax bills for instance come in nice blue-patterned ones!  I’d appreciate it if you could recycle them through me. That’d be great. Thanks.picture-6.png
