SARAH PARTY
posted on July 9th, 2008

Are you called Sara(h)? Do you know any Sara(h)s?

If so, we’re having a ‘Sarah Party’ on Sunday 29th of June. This party comes out of an event held at Burning Man and will be recorded for BBC Radio 4 and broadcast later in the year. Sarah Jane Morris and guitarist Dominic Miller will be flying in specially from Palermo to perform for us, having played a gig with a full orchestra the night before.
There will be a raffle with Sarah prizes, a Sarah census, Sarah games and Sarah trivia (all participation voluntary). There will also be a special Sarah Shrine which guests can add to. We will have a Sarah Photographer taking portraits and we will all gather for a group photo at 5pm. Every guest will be treated like a princess and given goodies.
There will be background music, but only tracks that mention Sara(h)s. Food will be light, themed and freshly made - soft drinks and wine (Syrah, naturally) will be available. This entire event (including food and drink) is free, but if Sarah’s could buy raffle tickets to help us cover our costs, that would be excellent.
We have a great venue in Hackney, zone 2 in East London, register through the website for exact details. The event will run between 2pm and 7pm. And last, but by no means least, we need you, if you are a Sara(h)! 70 Sara(h)s have registered, but there’s room for more. Encourage the Sara(h)s you know to register now at www.sarahness.co.uk We would love this event to be as diverse as possible. Please ask your children, friends, parents and even grandparents if they know any Sarahs, Saras or Sairas. We are doing everything we can to make this a truly special occasion, but we can’t make it happen without you.
If you are a Sarah, it’s time to celebrate your Sara(h)ness! Sarah Pletts
